Newark And Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society OPEN SHOW Saturday May 1st 2004
This Show was the first time I have judged on grass ,but almost 9 years since I judged my first Open show at this venue ,the ring was a good size , the entry was 29 and 14 of them were present .Thanks to everyone for entering and attending, the puppy class had 8 lovely puppies but of course only 5 places, but all were worthy winners.

Held at Newark Showground.
I had a super entry of 29 dogs ,14 attended ,pleasing dogs all with good tail sets an improvement on past judging appointments ,for health reasons this is a good step forward .I found some lovely quality puppies ,and I was spoilt for choice .Thanks to all the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their dogs. Blackpool and Fylde Bulldog Club sponsored the sashes for the main winners .
Puppy 13 (5 abs) 1st Martin’s Calibra Canderel,6 months old on the day ,feminine red and white bitch, excellent head shape nice jaw, good rib ,correct top line, lovely low tail set ,and confident on the move .BEST PUPPY 2nd Saxon’s Bagibelli Beguiling ,7 months old fawn and white, nice upswept jaw, warm expression, excellent front ,feminine but plenty of substance 3rd Seal’s Sealaville He’s the Duke
Junior 6 (4 abs) 1st Seal’s Sealaville She’s the One 11months old red and white bitch , nice head with good pigment ,dark eye , standard size , and sound movement 2nd Reynolds Biddle Living the Truth, 15months red and white very impressive bitch, good ear placement, plenty of rib and deep brisket, had temporary eye problem very promising future
Post Graduate 5 [3 abs] 1st Martins Calibra Uptown Girl, excellent quality fawn brindle and white bitch, huge wide black nostrils correctly placed and wonderful upswept jaw , correct layback standard size ,,excelled on the move BEST OF BREED 2nd Reynolds Biddle Chasing the Truth ,excellent red and white bitch ,well boned, good rib, pigment nice front, preferred movement on first .
Open Dog 5 [3 abs] 1st Lees Mellowmood Original 17 month old red and white dog, well ribbed and good bone, would like head to be more of a brick shape, with more foreface ,moves soundly. RESERVE BEST OF BREED 2nd Revis’s Silveroyd Yorkshire Rose at Camster ,3 year old standard red and white bitch good head shape ,ear placement , dark eye giving feminine expression , ,pump handle tail ,moved well ,jaw let her down.
