Saving Puppies before they get really low is the key to success ,not feeding them with milk but rehydrating them till they are boosted up is important ......... Weak ailing puppies cannot digest milk nor suck hard enough to get the milk its quite hard workto feed from mum , the only chance many have is to be fed fluids. Over the last few years I have had many lodgers in my home [puppy special care room !!!]and my main aim is to get them back on their mum ASAP I couldn't do this without the very caring and co operation of my Vet Annick Sackx at Vicarage Vets Saxilby Lins who has worked with me and been amazed that we do have a good success rate with weak puppies ,in the past Clive Curry at Endon Nr Stoke on Trent also worked tirelessly with me to save puppies who others had given up on .A good understanding with the vet is critical if attempting to rear a problem litter .
I had a litter here to help out while the owner had work for 5 days in March all are doing well at home
One little lodger I had was Paddy he was home on mum in 3 days even
though his own vet had given up on him ....Love You Paddy xx
